The most commonly asked question around here is always
What happens it if rains during our photos?
We know nobody plans a rainy shoot! Booking in a date in advance can be nerve-wracking with the British weather playing its part.
We’ll keep an eye on the forecast in the run-up to your shoot. If it’s looking like a wet day we’re happy to reschedule. It might be a different time on the same day will be better or an entirely new date.
If you need to stick to our planned day don’t worry, here are some other options if the forecast is looking soggy…
Put on your wellies and grab a brolly
If you’re ready to embrace the weather and wrap up warm we’re up for it! We’re both waterproof and so is our kit.
Find sheltered spots outside
There are so many options to take cover! We’ve taken photos under ruins, bridges and trees, in multistorey carparks and cars. It is all part of the fun.
Head to a nearby cafe
We’ve got some lovely friends in a cafe nearby who’ll let us pop in for photos: there’s plenty of space and even quieter areas so you won’t feel overlooked. We can warm up with hot drinks and their croissants are fantastic.
One of our favourite soggy family shoots ended up in MacDonalds- they were so excited to get a happy meal!
snuggle up At home
This is one of our favourites: we love photos in your normal space. Plus you’ll have all your home comforts. There’s no need to worry about space, tidying or lighting we’re used to working with what you’ve got. Amp up the cosy vibes with blankets and hot chocolates.
make the most of Indoor public spaces
The pub, a glasshouse in a botanical garden, maybe a museum or art gallery. Have a think about somewhere you would go together on a day off in the rain. Why not take the chance to go somewhere you’ve always wanted to visit but haven’t got round to yet!
Find an activity that’s even better in the rain
Dare you to come up with something that really makes the most of the weather you’ve been dealt. A water fight, canoeing, splashing in puddles…. What can you guys think of?
