We loved this sweet idea for an extended family session!
Martin and Betty got married 40 years ago in Birmingham, they live in Ireland now with their children and grandchildren. But back then they were both working in Birmingham and got married at the church just across the road from the hospital where Betty was working as a nurse. They decided not to tell anyone and had only their priest and a few witnesses.
It was fun to see them back there 40 years later to celebrate their Ruby wedding anniversary with the rest of the family. We’re biased but what a great gift from their kids! We heard the story of their first date, which nearly didn’t happen when Betty got nervous. They spotted the tree they always used to meet next to was still there.
