They did it!
Rearranged and delayed, but in lots of ways upgraded. Steph and Bobby’s post-lockdown wedding was greeted with so much joy. We were honoured to photograph their wedding ceremony. The guest numbers in-person were restricted but their enthusiasm and the participation of so many friends online was incredible.
We all knew weddings would look different these days- but we hadn’t anticipated the greetings from family around the world, or the guests who videoed a little dance number. We could watch the livestream guests throughout the service too: some in their best wedding outfits others in their tent! My sneaky little favourite was when the pastor asked the congregation “Will you the family and friends of Bobby and Steph support and uphold them in their marriage in the years to come?” watching the online crew nod, shout and thumbs-up their support.
A sweet stranger spotted the group photos taking place near his house and invited Steph and Bobby to come into his gorgeous garden for some photos. He’d been working on his flowers for years. The kindness of strangers at weddings can be overwhelming sometimes, such a simple act of generosity.
Fans of Steph and Bobby might want to check out their engagement photos (which got a mention in the wedding sermon) here.
