The guys got suited and booted at the Hilton Puckrup Hotel in Tewksbury then made their way over to Birtsmorton Court where guests were beginning to gather for the days events. The girls had a lovely house at Birtsmorton to get ready. While make up was happening upstairs Stacey had her own room downstairs to do their hair. Lovely visitors popped in all morning- relatives who’d travelled a long way came by to say “Hi!” and Gemma’s Grandad was around practising taking photos on his new phone.

Once they were ready it was time to walk to the ceremony which was in the manor house, a medieval building with a moat! The room has a chandelier and tapestries hanging on the walls, it looked great with florals from Ginger Lily as the finishing touch. Family and friends were ready and waiting, with James looking pretty nervous at the front. The registrars led them through their vows and they had their first kiss as Mr & Mrs.

Everyone followed them outside to the garden where staff served drinks and we snapped some group shots. James and Gemma took a little break away from their guests and we took some photos of them with Birtsmorton’s resident romantic swans.

We moved over to the marquee for the wedding breakfast as the sun went down outside. Guests chatted happily over tasty food and relaxed into the speeches.

The evenings entertainment took place in the long room next door. We set up the photo booth at one end while the band set up and the other. There was a break from the dancing to wave sparklers outside, a lovely end to the days celebrations.
