RICHARD & HAYLEY’S WEDDING
It's not every wedding that gets a visit from Santa!
It was a misty day when Richard and Hayley got married. Richard started the day at Hogarths where the reception would be held later on. He got ready with his groomsmen before picking up his cheeky pageboy on the way to the church.
For Hayley the day started at her parents house with hairdressers and a make up lady to glam-up all her girls. They had two vintage cars to get them to the church where everyone was ready for their arrival. The Rev led them through the ceremony and vows. Once the rings had been exchanged she shared some words of wisdom with them ... and a gin & tonic! There were special musical performances from the choir as the newly weds signed the registers. Then all done and dusted the bridal party processed outside followed by the rest of the congregation. There were warm congratulations for Richard and Hayley, then a tunnel of confetti to get them to their car.
Back at Hogarths for the reception we were heading to the woodlands for some pictures of the bride and groom when we bumped into a jolly old fellow who wanted a photo for himself- Santa dropped grotto duty for a few minutes to wish Richard and Hayley well on their wedding day. We carried on to take the photos and formal group shots.
Then it was time to get into the warm! When Richard and Hayley took their seats at the top table their magician appeared to show his first slight of hand. Much to Hayley's surprise (and delight!) he set a £10 note alight and poured a goldfish from the note into a wineglass of water. He continued around the room entertaining the tables as their dinner was served with cheeky tricks. Then just before the speeches got underway the magician invited the Best Man to help with his last few tricks. Thankfully he survived the guillotine... but he still had to make his own speech!
After three sweet speeches everything got ready for the party. Santa popped in to say hi- with gifts for the children. We love Frontrow band, they got the party going and stayed on stage for a few extra songs to please the keen crowd. There was a lot of fun on the dance floor and the DJ took over to keep the party going into the night.
