JAMES AND HANNAH’S WEDDING
James and Hannah got married in Market Harborough on one of those long hot days back in the summer of 2018.
We met up with Hannah at the hairdressers (Moko Salon) and were soon joined by the bridesmaids. We headed to the hotel to get ready with her Mum. Her Dad was on the inside of James’ big surprise: a horse and carriage to take them to the ceremony!
James and the guys were ready early at St Dionysius to set up and greet guests as they arrived. There were lots of international guests who were especially delighted with the historic setting, the church dates back to the thirteenth century, and is right at the centre of Market Harborough.
The flower girls were waiting at the door as Hannah and her party arrived and walked down the aisle. The service was deeply meaningful with contributions from friends and family: giving reading, guiding them through their vows and leading the music. James and Hannah even did a duet for their guests. They lit the unity candle and were surrounded by prayers.
With the formal parts of the day completed everyone got together for a massive group photo in the church. A gorgeous afternoon tea was laid out on vintage china with homemade cakes. Guests helped themselves then wandered outside and chatted in the glorious sunshine.
We gathered to throw confetti as the newlyweds set off in their horse and carriage to Kelmarsh Hall. We found a quiet moment to take photos in the gardens at first with James and Hannah on their own then joined by family and bridal party as they arrived. There was croquet on the lawn and time to relax before the meal.
Inside the room was decorated with flowers and tall blue candles on the tables. Each place was setting had lavender and tea wedding favours. The wonderful Kelmarsh hall team poured champagne for the speeches. Both their Dads spoke followed by James and his Best Man, they all spoke from the heart with gratitude. The wedding breakfast was served and the Bride and Groom cut their towering croquembouche wedding cake.
The evening turned into a beautiful sunset which gave us the chance for some beautiful photos as guests sat in the garden with cups of tea. As dusk fell James and Hannah had their first dance accompanied by the live band, and were joined on the dance floor by their family.
