ROB & TAMSIN’S WEDDING

We arrived at Cranberries Hideaway the day before the wedding to a hive of activity. Rob and Tamsin’s family and friends were putting up decorations, preparing favours and generally getting the place ready for the following day. There was the same buzz the next morning as the girls gathered in Tamsin’s room for hair and makeup. A few bridesmaids’ babies popped in to join in the fun and we watched horses in the stable yard below our window. A little dog even made a surprise visit.

Rob spent the morning with his family who were staying in ‘The Wagon Shed’ at Cranberries then joined the rest of the guys getting ready in another house. They gathered for a quick beer before heading to the ceremony space.

Tamsin’s Dad came to escort the ladies to the ceremony which took place on the hill side with views across the fields to the sea. Bridesmaid Kathryn sang as the other bridesmaids walked down the aisle, after the vows she lead the whole crowd in sining “Can you feel the love tonight?” with many giggles and much swaying. Then the bridal party headed back down the aisle and onto the lawn for some group photos. Guests relaxed with refreshments as we headed to Beer Beach with Rob & Tamsin. It was blustery down there, but I think it made for some gorgeous photos!

We got back in time for some very chilled out lawn games in the sun before moving inside for dinner and speeches. Tamsin’s Dad had been Rob’s teacher at school and made the most of that authority in his speech- much to the amusement of his former pupils. We’re sure he’d give Rob and the Best Men full marks for their speeches too.

Bridesmaid Naomi made the beautiful wedding cake, Rob & Tamsin cut the cake and hit the dance floor for their first dance. Their fun DJ kept the dancing going and even joined in!
