SAM AND ROSIE'S WEDDING AT PORTH-EN-ALLS, PRUSSIA COVE IN CORNWALL
This stunning venue, the sun shining on this incredible couple and their friends and family. Suitably wonderful for our 300th wedding!
wedding morning preparations at Prussia cove
Sam & Rosie had their venue for a whole week, staying in the gorgeous house with a group of their favourite people. So they started getting ready days before, setting up for their outdoor ceremony. The celebrations kicked off the night before as most people arrived for a BBQ feast.
On the wedding morning, the bridesmaids joined Rosie in her room. It. was a beautiful room for getting ready, full of gorgeous details. Look at those flowers! The dress! I’m even in love with the wooden floor. The girls could spy out the window as people arrived and see the groomsmen carrying things out to the ceremony space.
The guys had the main house for getting ready, and raising a beer. They went up the drive to take photos with the view out to sea.
The bride team were ready in plenty of time for some photos in the woods just next to the house, then we walked round to the ceremony in the back garden.
the wedding ceremony in the walled garden of porth-en-alls
We loved the string quartet playing out in the garden as the guests gathered and as the bridal party walked down the aisle.
These two had their friend, and former housemate Danielle, to lead the ceremony and take them through the vows. She made it so personal and helped put them both at ease. Guests watched from their haybale seats and bunting fluttered above them in the breeze. It really was the best feeling.
“Standing on some rocky steps, sun sparkling on the sea, seagulls chirping, reading our personal vows to each other and just feeling the happiest people alive!”
Sam and Rosie walked down the aisle. Then snuck into the house, where they could peak down at all their guests as the made their way back to the gate for a confetti tunnel.
The bar was open and there was local ice cream for everyone. We took group photos as guests got drinks and mooched around in the sunshine. We went down to the beach with Sam and Rosie for some couple photos and a spot of galavanting on the headland. It was fun to take a few giddy moments away for the two of them.
“Highly recommend getting a friend to be your celebrant if this is something that appeals to you. Not only was the day of our legal wedding (a hot summer's day in London with only immediate family present) a gorgeous memory, but it took any stress away from the real day and made things so so much more personal. You will be amazed just how much the right friend will excel at this.”
their wedding reception in a clifftop marquee
Their guests were extatic to greet them in to the marquee. They kicked things off with a joint speech a Mr & Mrs and nailed it.
The wedding breakfast was served up on sharing platters in between speeches, the mix made things feel really informal and fun. Shout out to Chef Debbie for pulling this off on the top of a cliff, the food was spot on.
“After a very British rainy BBQ the night before, the sun chose to shine on us all day! And the local ice creams went down extra well.”
We all wandered back over to the walled garden for cocktails from their outdoor bar. Malc went up to a high window to get a photo of everyone gathered together. Then Rosie & Sam cut all three of their wedding cakes, each lovingly made by a different friend. Then we giggled as one of Sam’s sisters decided to face plant her special dietary requirement cake!
It was back to the marquee for the first dance. Have you ever seen a couple looking as happy during their first dance as these two? The crowd took their responsibility to the dancefloor very seriously and their antics soon spilled out of the tent leading to a magic moment dancing by the light of the moon with the sea below.
Rosie delighted the guests by joining the band on stage for one song on her sax. Then there were 20 mins of Taylor Swift between the band’s sets, which was such a hit. Especially with Malc.
“The dancefloor was literally full ALL NIGHT - the band were just so good - Rosie will never forget the looks on our guests faces when she joined them on stage with her saxophone for Beyonce! But even between sets everyone kept partying hard (with the dedicated Taylor Swift section being a big reason for this...) and our guests really made the night what it was.”
The sight of the moon reflected on the sea and the festoon lights swaying in the breeze was just gorgeous. This crowd and those views! It genuinely took us a while to get over how good this day was.
Happy anniversary Sam & Rosie! Big love Nom & Malc x
“The morning after our wedding, Sam and I woke up early (still reeling from the night before) and went for a swim in the sea together as husband and wife, whilst re-living our perfect day. It was bliss.”
“We literally never would have picked any other photographers. We cannot tell you how many of our guests remarked to us after the wedding that they thought our photographers were truly awesome and they loved chatting to you - it's your ability to be natural with everyone that gets the amazing photos you manage to capture! ”
