Adam & becki’s WEDDING at south farm, royston

It was so good to be back at South Farm, this time we got to meet the piglets and stay in one of their Romany wagons!

Their engagement photos

wedding morning preparations

The girls get spoiled at South Farm with the beautiful Coach House Suite to get ready in. Becki had her Mum and sister to keep her company and the lovely Eloise on hair and makeup.

The boys had a few jobs to keep them busy but made time for a little spin round the farm in the best man’s Porsche.

Guests arrived and chatted with Adam in the library. Becki loved spotting them from the window where she was getting ready. It’s always so relaxed when there’s a friend doing hair and makeup, so we had a lovely morning. The flower girls and page boy joined us ready to walk across the yard and down the aisle.

It was a very simple ceremony with a reading by the registrar. Our highlight was Adam’s Best man presenting the rings and Adam sticking it straight on Becki’s finger.

They left down the aisle to champagne then into the house to see their dog Elsie! Becki popped into an extra skirt to protect her dress from mucky paws then we went straight out for a confetti tunnel. Elsie was a bit surprised to see so many people throwing things at her but took it in her stride.

We took a group photo with everyone, the dog and the Porsche in the courtyard and gathered some relaxed group photos with the family and bridal party.

Top of Becki’s list was photos with Elsie, closely followed by photos with the pigs! It was so much fun being allowed in the pen with the littlest ones.

The wedding breakfast at South Farm

We moved into the barn for dinner. Things kicked off with Adam’s speech, including his silly song choice to make his colleagues laugh. Dinner was gorgeous (all the food is good at South Farm, they have such a good use of seasonal and local ingredients).

After dinner there were more speeches from the Father of the Bride, Bethany (Becki’s sister) and the Best Man. Now seems like the perfect moment for a little shout out to Becki’s Dad who supplied honey from his bees for all the wedding favours. Wonderful stuff!

There was time to mingle in the Old Diary as the evening guests arrived. There was hot drinks and tasty truffles! We went out for some sparklers- and some cheeky sparkler drawings (it’d be rude not to).

The first dance was sung by Talia (who used to be their house mate) and the band and it was excellent. Talia even had special sign language song ready for the flower girl to be able to join in later in the set.

Cigar Club made an appearance in the courtyard for a few cheeky photos before heading back into the warm.

There was a casino set up in the main room, with the bar the photo booth and the evening buffet. It was a good night for entertainment and snacks! Adam and Becki finished off the wedding with a circle of guests around them for the last song. They stayed on site, so did we and many of the guests so we all got to have a big debrief over breakfast which is always great fun.
