jess and andrew’s WEDDING in lincoln
We loved exploring Lincoln on this wedding day.
wedding morning preparations
Jess stayed at Arch Cottage in Lincoln the night before the wedding and it was a great house for getting ready with her family and bridesmaids. The cottage is actually part of the historic city walls and is full of quirky features.

They had a simple and traditional church service followed by a heap of friends and family outside ready to throw confetti.
Andrew and Jess walked back to the Arch Cottage with their closest guests for some group photos. We were dodging the rain so some photos were outside by the city walls and others were more relaxed inside on the sofa!
The guests set off for the Tower Hotel and we stayed back with Andrew and Jess for photos of just the two of them before joining everyone else for lunch.
their wedding breakfast at the tower hotel
We love that they planned an intimate wedding breakfast for just their closest guests. Everyone was seated at one table in a private dining room. The atmosphere was lovely with candles and gorgeous table decorations. It was great for them to have a relaxed pace and chat over food before heading on to the bigger reception in the evening.
reception at the drill hall, lincoln
Down the hill at the Drill Hall more guests were gathering for the big party. They were greeted with glasses of fizz and made their way into the huge main room. The space is really dramatic, dark with a spotlight perfect for giving speeches. Andrew and Jess have been through a lot in the few years of their relationship so the speeches were incredibly heart-felt and filled with gratitude for reaching their wedding day.
They cut their cake and the dancefloor got wild with a barn dance led by the wonderful Erskine Street Band. It was the perfect room with space to dance or sit and watch from a table nearby.
Happy anniversary Andrew & Jess- with love, Nom x
“ It was such an amazing day and we wouldn't change a single part of it, even the rain as the wet weather plan turned out to be perfect! You guys were such a key part of that day too being part of the group and taking such amazing photos, we love them!”
“It's surprising how quickly the day becomes a bit of a blur but seeing the photos really brought memories and moments back and other people have commented on how they could feel the joy coming through the photos too.”
