James & Gaby’s WEDDING at Gorcott Hall, Redditch
We’re obsessed with the beautiful sunlight at this Autumn wedding, and the whole day set to music thoughtfully curated by Gaby, who’s a composer.
wedding morning preparations at Gorcott Hall
We met James & Gaby through one of their bridesmaids, Danielle (who’s wedding we photographed back in 2016). It was really fun to catch up with her and meet the rest of the bridesmaids as they got ready.
Malc joined James getting ready at home. They decorated their lounge in time to be the perfect space for some photos.
The wedding ceremony at Gorcott Hall
Guests were welcomed to Gorcott with drinks out in the garden, which is a great way to make the most of this gorgeous venue.
The ceremony room was packed full of guests in time for the bridal party’s entrance. Their ceremony was short and sweet, with that Autumn sunshine coming in through the windows. Gaby had composed something special to play as they signed the register.
James and Gaby disappeared for a minute as guests made their way outside to form a tunnel of bubbles, which was a fun way to celebrate these two being married. We gathered everyone for a big group picture and a few formal family shots, then everyone darted inside to hide from a quick rain shower. It’s so fun to have the run of the place, with guests in the sitting room and dining room chatting over their canapes.
We went back into the gardens for some couple portraits, I love how the trees matched their wedding stationery and her bouquet.
Aren’t the florals stunning? Oak & Ivy really nailed the brief. It was extra special to include ferns from Gaby’s parents’ garden. The room looked incredible all set up for the wedding breakfast.
A little rain while we were all eating meant we got a gorgeous rainbow (and a tasty meal). Then the speeches had us all laughing at some insightful anecdotes, particularly about James!
A new wave of guests for the evening made things a little more lively. James & Gaby cut the cake (did you spot the Lord of the Rings details?) and had their first dance. We loved this crowd on the dancefloor. I’m pretty sure it was our first time seeing a monk serving up a tray of shots at a wedding.
Between the photo booth, the pizzas and the dancefloor it was a fun night.
Happy anniversary J&G, hope you’re having fun celebrating today with Pippin- love Nom x
