The Burch WEDDING at Woodthorpe Hall, Sheffield

A fantastic Sheffield wedding with spectacular views and even better dance floor antics.

wedding morning preparations

The bridesmaids took over the lounge to get ready and other rooms were full of flowers arriving and hair and makeup being done. Kate and her Mum found a calm space upstairs to put the wedding dress on. I loved that her grandparents’ wedding photos were in the room for that.

Another fun tip from Kate, she wore her wedding perfume for each of her dress fittings, which built up a really strong connection for her between the scent and the wedding day.

Their engagement photos

”We honestly cannot have been more grateful for what you guys did. You are the kindest people and so many said that, and you just never stopped taking pictures and helping people you we’re both so sensitive to everything on the day and helped keep everyone calm in every situation! So many said you are more than just photographers, and we couldn’t agree more!”

the wedding ceremony at Christchurch Endcliffe

We love Christchurch Endcliffe for weddings! They're such a welcoming bunch, really reassuring to the bridal party if they're feeling nervous before walking in. It's a really beautiful space, with stained glass and carved pews. They also know how to put on a spread- check out the gorgeous array of homemade goodies after the service!

There was a huge confetti-throwing session to send them off in the wedding car with the bridesmaids following behind in the campervan.

their wedding reception at Woodthorpe Hall

We arrived at the venue in convoy with the wedding car and headed straight for photos of the couple, giving guests time to arrive before family photos and other formalities. Woodthorpe has spectacular views overlooking fields and rolling hills, and we even found a horse willing to pose for a photo or two. Jesse and Emile came with us to catch it all for the wedding video. Can we just take this moment to say what a pleasure they were to work with? Such lovely souls!

During the drinks reception we took group photos and candid shots of everyone enjoying themselves, especially on the bouncy castle.

Doesn’t their stretch tent look just gorgeous? We loved their florals, napkins and cake setup. Most of all though we loved their cheeky Gavin & Stacey table names, which got a good few giggles. With everyone seated it was time for the speeches and a lot of belly laughs.

Will didn't feel too good actually after they sat down the rush of the recent weeks (moving house and preparing for a wedding is a lot!) had finally caught up with him. But it was sweet to see them taking time out as a couple to recover and catch a breather away from the crowd.

After dinner there was possibly the most scenic game of cricket ever, with wedding guests getting stuck in (and some watching nearby with a glass or two of wine)

The evening was wild! The venue lit a fire in a shopping trolley. The pizza guys whipped up a frenzy. The dancing was unstoppable and the photo booth was a treat.

Congratulations you two. So many happy memories, thanks for having us along for the ride! - Nom x
