How glamorous is this Highbury Hall wedding! Between Pardeep’s velvet suit and Kavita’s jewellery and flowers, it’s just delicious.

wedding morning preparations
We love wedding mornings getting ready at Highbury Hall. Kavita got ready up in Miss Hilda’s room with her sister and nieces (and Anika on hair and makeup). There were lots of fun and games with the kids, and we could peak down into the main room from the balcony to see who was arriving.
Pardeep got ready at home with his boy Leo. They arrived at Highbury ready to go.
The wedding ceremony at Highbury Hall
These two got the loveliest registrars officiating at their ceremony. They really put the crowd at ease. Add to the mix a reading, by a friend who does that kind of thing for their job and another by their little niece and the ceremony was wonderful. I think Pardeep and Kavita both cried a little.
At the end guests left by the French doors and made a tunnel for confetti. We took group photos on the lawn and Highbury staff served up glasses of Pimms and beers for the guests.
There was time to chat to guests as they sipped on drinks. The kids did some colouring in and enjoyed playing with the Autumn decorations. We took a little walk with Kavita and Pardeep around the grounds at Highbury.
Wedding reception at Highbury Hall
Highbury Hall have a tradition of taking the bride and groom up to the bridal suite for a break as their guests are seated. It means that when everyone’s ready they get to make their entrance down the grand staircase to all of the guests.
They had an intimate meal with the top table and just three tables of guests. The food was delicious: onion soup, pork or arancini and chocolate brownie for dessert with gooey filling!
Their speeches were lovely: a few friends spoke as well as Pardeep (who quoted Shakespeare) and his Mum who was so sweet and welcoming to Kavita.
Wedding party at highbury Hall
For their wedding favours, they gave each guest a personalised frame to fill with prints from the photo booth, so we got the booth started and everyone got involved taking fun pictures.
Their cake was cute with the pumpkins on the top (and tasty- white chocolate sponge!). The crowd gathered to see them cut the cake and made their way through for the first dance. Then the DJ dialled up the Halloween theme with creepy projections on his booth. The kids loved it! And everyone got dancing to a mix of British and Asian wedding music.
Happy anniversary you two- with love Nom x
