“Thank you for our pictures! Brought a lot of tears to our eyes you definitely captured us and what was important to us!”
wedding morning preparations
Liz got ready in Hundred House Hotel’s carriage out in the gardens with Louise, her hair and makeup lady. Her little nieces, who were her flower girls popped in to say hi while other family members set up in the barn. We all moved up to the bridal suite to finish getting ready complete with the troop of sweet flower girls and page boys.
James arrived with his mum and met their guests in the gardens to chat before the ceremony.
their wedding ceremony at hundred house barn
The kids lead the procession down the aisle then the bridesmaid, with Liz and her dad following. It was a giggly start to the ceremony before a gorgeous reading by her sister had the crowd in tears. James and Liz said their vows under their custom Mr and Mrs Bakewell sign.
They signed the schedule and made it all official, then had their exit and greeted all their guests in receiving line as they headed out to throw confetti. Everyone followed Liz and James in a procession to the marquee.
Malc headed inside the hotel to take a group photo of everyone from above then we took the families round to the flower garden for some relaxed family photos. I love capturing the family photos in stop motion, especially the kids. It’s such a special time to have with just your VIPs.
There was time to mingle with drinks and snacks in the marquee before the meal.
James and Liz had a moment alone to chat in the gardens as their guests were seated and we snapped some photos.
the wedding breakfast
We loved how personal the barn felt for these two with their decor and finishing touches, including tiny gold cats.
The bride and groom made their entrance and Liz donned her ‘Mrs Bakewell’ apron to protect her dress from her dinner. They finished off their delicious meal with a Bakewell tart for dessert of course!
It was time for some very emotional speeches, paying tribute to those no longer with us. It was a beautiful way to honour some special people.
a fun idea from this wedding
The guests signed pieces of fabric which will be sewn into a quilt for Liz and James to keep instead of a guest book.
Evening entertainment
Outside the marquee was a surprise for James: mini golf for everyone before the evening reception. It got a quite competitive trying to win the prize.
Liz went to get changed into her second dress with her ladies. And we got some fun photos up in the bridal suite.
There was another surprise for James up on the balcony alongside our photo booth: a retro arcade machine! Big kids and little kids all got stuck in on that, and it was great for taking a break from the dancing.
Did you spot the stunner of a wedding cake? it looked great presented on a plinth. Liz and James cut the cake and had their first dance, then they had a dance with her parents before the DJ cranked it up and got everyone on the dancefloor. It was a really fun night.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Bakewell- Love Nom x
