Chris & Kay’s WEDDING at Hundred House Hotel, Telford

A creative wedding with heaps of alternative details in one of our favourite venues: Hundred House Hotel!

wedding morning preparations

Our first visit to the new railway carriage at Hundred House Hotel was such a fun one. When we arrived the bridesmaids were eating breakfast outside in the garden as Kay had her makeup done inside.

Chris arrived a little while later with his mom and chatted with guests by the marquee before it was time to walk over to the barn for the ceremony.

The girl's finished getting ready up in the bridal suite and the little ones joined in to add to the fun. It's such a sweet room with the four poster and a swing. Once everyone was ready in the barn the bridal party made their way down the twisting staircase to chat to the registrars, and head over to the ceremony.

Their engagement photos

“Thank you from the moment we met you made us feel so comfortable and from the engagement shoot to the big day it was a lot of fun!

I honestly don't think you could have improved anything! We had an amazing time and it was so fun, from dancing to getting photos together.”

The wedding ceremony at Hundred House Barn

Check out the gorgeous arch which Kayleigh made herself as a focal point for the ceremony! Under it Chris and Kayeigh said their vows and showed all their feelings with a few tears and a lot of giggles.

With all the legal bits signed it was time for confetti outside the barn, then the bride and groom led their guests in a mini procession round to the garden for some group photos. Drinks were served and the disco bouncy castle was a really fun addition.

Chris and Kayleigh took a walk in Hundred House’s Secret Garden for a few relaxed photos away from the crowd. We are totally in love with this space and the sweet team of gardeners who work tirelessly to keep it looking stunning.

It was back to the barn for food and we sat on a chatty table with fun guests (thanks K&C!). There were four speeches were at the end of the meal at end of the meal: Kayleigh's Dad John, Best Man Jonathan, Chris the Groom and Kayleigh’s friend Hannah. It’s always a real insight into our couples when we get to hear from their closest friends.

Their wedding highlights:

The tattoos, photo booth and Tenacious D playing was what made it a great night!

The evening wedding reception at hundred house hotel

We set up the photo booth upstairs on the balcony and the barn went into evening mode with the dance floor and lights dimmed. Upstairs is the perfect spot for watching the action if guests need a little break.

Downstairs, as well as Colin the Caterpillar cake and the first dance, there were heaps of temporary tattoos. They went down so well with guests of all ages.

We took a pause from the dancefloor to head outside for sparklers with a big crowd of giddy guests. A tiny mishap with a spark and Kayleigh’s dress didn’t stop the fun for the rest of the night, but did give them a good story to tell!

What a party. Thanks for having us you two, and happy anniversary! -Love Nom x

top tip from the bride

‘If you have sparklers, make everyone move away from your big puffy dress.”
