Grace & Andrew’s WEDDING in ipswich
This beautiful, relaxed wedding in Ipswich still has us smiling a year later.
wedding morning preparations
Andrew and his family got ready at a hotel while down the road Grace and her bridesmaids were getting ready at her parents’ house.
the wedding ceremony at Burlington Baptist Church
Their ceremony was at Burlington Baptist Church, which is an absolutely beautiful space, so light and airy. It’s really fun to have guests watching from upstairs on the balcony too. We loved how they included all their parents in the ceremony and had friends to do music and prayers.
They ended their ceremony with a big group photo of all the guests before leading the way through to their tea and cake reception in the church hall. It was so good to have time to chat with everyone in that relaxed space. We got a few photos with grandparents who weren’t joining us for the reception too.
Then everyone came out to the car park to send them on their way with a whole heap of confetti. We followed the wedding car over to their reception. As a side note: isn’t it so fun to spot a car with wedding ribbons! I love watching pedestrians stopping to spot the couple as they drive past.
Their wedding reception
We made it over to Vauxhall Christian Trust ahead of the other guests which gave us time to take a wander and get a few photos of Andrew and Grace together. Molly (Molly Ellen Films) came with us too - we had a good time working with her.
Guests arrived and were greeted with canapes and drinks before we took a few group photos on the lawn. There was a receiving line as guests sat down for the meal. Andrew and Grace say on the top table with their parents which was up on the stage, giving the perfect vantage point for keeping an eye on their guests. It worked really well for speeches too.
The evening entertainment at Vauxhall Christian Trust
More guests arrived for the party and joined in playing croquet and exploring the site. The dancing was really fun with the band playing on the stage and all age guests getting their boogie on.
It was such a beautiful evening. We got photos of the couple at sunset and watched bats swooping over the pond.
There was plenty of fun in the photo booth, and on the dancefloor to keep us going right to the very end when we waved goodbye with a glowstick tunnel.
