Craig & Tracey’s WEDDING at coton House farm, Lichfield
These two combined Super Mario and dahlia flowers for the most fun and colourful wedding.
wedding morning preparations
Tracey got ready at Coton House Farm with her mum and sister, they were joined a little later by her nieces who were the flower girls. Her Dad came to walk her over to the chapel and down the aisle.
“You guys were like having extra friends there on the day, by our sides helping out and offering advice. Knowing where to move us or others to or from to get the right photos, working with all our other vendors, and always going the extra mile (thanks for the chafe stick Nom!)”
The wedding ceremony
There’s a small chapel on site at Coton House Farm, just next to the room where brides can get ready. It’s such a calm oasis, it felt really special to watch these two say their vows there.
We all piled back out into the sunshine for this glorious confetti moment, then led all the guests round to the lawn for drinks and group photos.
There’s so much stunning scenery around the farm, so we took 20 minutes to have a little walk with Craig and Tracey for couple photos.
We got back to guests playing lawn games, sipping drinks and chatting, which is pretty much the perfect wedding afternoon in my opinion.
Their wedding reception at coton house farm
Tracey’s niece Cora stood on her seat to announce the bride and groom into the room which was probably the cutest moment of the whole day. One person from each table was surprised with a comedy apron putting them in charge of carving the sharing platter. Of course we had to get a shot of them all lined up together.
With bellies full everyone sat back to listen to the speeches starting with the Father of the Bride and the Groom before descending into a mild chaos with the three best men.
I loved the way they pulled together their Super Mario and dahlia flower theme. There were Mario cubes as wedding favours for each guest and fresh dahlias all over the place. My favourite place where they came together was on the wedding cake. It was decorated with one half in a tradtional white with icing dahlias and the other half blue with Mario characters, all topped off with their Mario and Princess Peach cake topper. Tracey’s sister Sally ( I Do Invites) and friend (Roo Roo Bakes) absolutely smashed the brief.
The evening entertainment
It was the perfect summer’s evening to hang out outside for a while, but when it was time for the first dance this crowd was ready to hit the dancefloor. The band was amazing- if you’re looking for a wedding band we’d love to see them again.
The photo booth was busy- which is a sign of a fun wedding. There were sausage sandwiches to keep everyone going. And milk shots served with cookies made by the bride. What’s not to love about that!
What a day! Congratulations Craig and Tracey - Love Nom x
Top tip from the bride
Plan the wedding you want, not what you think it should be. If you want Mario and dahlias, have Mario and dahlias!
