Chris & Amy’s WEDDING at South Farm

Check out the stop-motion video we made of this wedding day- it really captures the feel of Chris & Amy’s wedding.

wedding morning preparations

Malc’s day when we’re working at a wedding usually starts with the guys, often with a cooked breakfast. Rarely with this much mud and running. Chris and his friends hit the local park run and changed up the leaderboard for one week only. I love how is plays in the stop motion video.

Then they headed back home for a bacon butty of course.

Amy had a calmer start to the day with hair and makeup for her and the bridesmaids. They got ready at South farm, which has plenty of beautiful spaces to choose from,

One of my favourite moments was Amy coming down the stairs in their suite feeling amazing and ready to show off her outfit to her Dad. They had a short walk across the courtyard to the ceremony.

the wedding ceremony at South Farm

Chris and Amy had a few nervous laughs during their vows- and a few more giggles when people mentioned their puppy in the ceremony.

We met Chris and Amy through our friend Laura. She did a reading in the ceremony. It’s so much fun when we get to see our friends at weddings- especially when we get to meet their new babies.

After the ceremony, Chris and Amy hid away in the house for a quiet drink together. Outside the front door guests lined up for a confetti tunnel and then joined in for a big group photo of everyone.

It was a little on the wet and chilly side so we took some of the VIP guests for formal photos in the library. It felt so fancy for Chris & Amy to have free roam of the place for their wedding day. South Farm is a very special venue. We had a bit of time to explore outside and take some photos before joining the guests for drinks.

The wedding breakfast

Everyone moved through to the Tudor Barn for dinner, One of Amy’s favourite parts of their wedding was the beautiful colourful flower displays and it was so fun to see her catch sight of them as they walked in. You can spot it in the stop motion. Shout out to Bridget, Larkspur Floral for that incredible moment.

Their evening reception

As it got dark we took the bridesmaids outside for some sparkler photos. It was fun but a tad chilly!

We warmed up on the dance floor though. A fresh batch of evening guests was arriving, ready to party. After the first dance Chris changed into his famous red trousers (from their first date) and a spectacular Hawaiian shirt with Amy's face all over it.
