ryan & meghan’S WEDDING at Brokencote Hall, Kidderminster

Their engagement photos

This is probably our most glam wedding of the year, it still managed to be super laid back and a lot of fun.

We met Meghan at a wedding a few years ago and it was meant to be, so when Ryan took her back to the place they first met and proposed she got in touch with us.

Our favourite moment on this day was right as we were about to finish. We took a few photos on the chaise lounge with these two, who were getting properly relaxed by this point in the night. Meghan said that she was getting fed up of being in the big wedding dress and wished she could get into her PJs. Well you don’t have to mention it twice and we’ll be encouraging you. She went and got changed into her nothing-fancy-but-perfectly-bridal pj set and headed back down for a drink in the bar. They’re a masterclass in doing your wedding your way. And we’re big fans.

wedding morning preparations at Brockencote hall

When we arrived Meg was out on the lawn as the florist set up their split arch. She was so relaxed wandering round in those wedding morning pjs. She and girls had rooms upstairs to get ready. They could spy out the window as guests arrived.

We love their DIY wedding newspapers (and not just because they featured our photos from the engagement shoot!). Malc got to include them in some details shots in the morning before Ryan and the lads arrived. The guys assembled and took guests to their seats on the lawn. It was a scorching day.

their outdoor wedding ceremony on the lawn at brockencote

The aisle turned out to be a bit of a long walk but the bridal party took it in their stride.

The ceremony included two beautiful readings, one which Meg had written herself. In it she encouraged guests to hold hands with someone they loved, it created a really special atmosphere for the ceremony. They had vow books for their personal vows which is a really beautiful detail.

As they signed the register a ladybird wandered on the table.

They had their confetti moment as they walked back down the aisle, with guests lining the way on either side.

The guests all gathered on the stairs outside for a big photo and their dogs came over to join in! We took some relaxed group photos as the Brockencote team served up canapes.

We took Meghan and Ryan off to the secret garden for photos. Another favourite moment from this day is Meghan shouting ‘Lets run’ as we made our way back into the hall. She’d always wanted to run across the lawn in her dress and it was gorgeous.

their wedding reception

Guests enjoyed the violin player and drinks in the back garden. Then they took their seats in time for Meghan and Ryan to be announced into the room as Mr & Mrs. Her Dad said grace and the meal was served. Their speeches were extra sweet with both their dads giving a speech, as well as her sister as maid of honour.

They cut the cake and there was more time to mingle. We got the photo booth going - there was some top level antics- in the entrance hall.

Then the DJ was ready in the conservatory. After the first dance you couldn’t keep this lot off the dance floor…. Except briefly when Brockencote served up an absolute feast for the evening buffet. We’ve never seen anything like it.

What a day- I’ve loved looking back at this one. Congratulations M&R- Love Nom x

“ We watched the slide show and cried you are both the best photographers ever ! Thank you so much x want to do it all again ! ”
