Adam & sarah’S WEDDING at the lake at Barston, west midlands golf club

Their engagement photos

After meeting Adam and Sarah for some of the wettest engagement photos we’ve ever taken we were delighted the sun shone for their wedding. It felt like the start of Spring, and it felt like they earned it!

wedding morning preparations

This was one of my favourite wedding mornings. The girls got ready at Sarah’s, singing along to High School Musical and having the best time. Her parents rented a Tesla to drive her to church which was a bonus treat.

Adam was moving out of his lads house on the wedding day. Malc had a great welcome from his housemates and it was cool to witness the last moments of his student life, with all the photos of recent memories in his bedroom where he got ready.

the wedding ceremony at St John’s, Harborne

St John’s church was packed full! It was great to have an bonus celebration on Easter weekend.

St John’s is a modern building, and we enjoyed exploring angles for shots in the big open space. We loved getting everyone together for a celebratory photo at the end of the ceremony. Across the corridor in the hall guests crowded in for hot drinks and gathered round to see Adam and Sarah cut the cake.

We headed over to a the Lake at Barston ahead of the rest of their crowd. The restaurant is part of West Midlands Golf Club and we wanted to make sure we’d have time for a trip in a golf buggy, which Adam was especially looking forward to. We had a little adventure on the links (we got to drive our own buggy) then headed down to the lake for couples photos. Guests had all arrived and were waiting to welcome Adam and Sarah back through a big confetti tunnel.

their wedding reception at The Lake At Barston

Inside dinner was served in the main room. Guests were too busy wedding-ing to get involved in golf on the main course but, in a genius move, Adam and Sarah arranged indoor mini golf in a side room for a bit of topical after-dinner fun as the evening guests arrived.

Our photo booth was popular with their guests- watch the slideshow to see what they all got up to.

Once everyone was there it was time for the speeches. As well as the Father of the Bride, Bride and Groom we had the added delight of hearing about Adam from his twin brother and other two best men in a joint speech.

The band were top tier: we’d expect nothing less from these two as they’re both great musicians. The bride and groom even joined the band on stage for an absolute belter (Taylor, of course) and the crowd went wild. There was a cute dance with Sarah and her dad, which was lovely because you could see Sarah’s dad enjoyed the dance too and that the two of them obviously have a great relationship. The night ended with a sparkler tunnel out to the car and these two drove off into the night.

Happy anniversary you Adam & Sarah- Love Nom x
