After meeting these two for the soggiest engagement photos of all time we were chuffed to bits that they ended up with the perfect sunny, Summer wedding day.

Sarah and Will each had a beautiful Airbnb to get ready with their family and wedding party.
Sarah had a friend from church to do all the ladies’ hair. She got into the dress upstairs and came down into the lounge for a first look with her bridesmaids and Dad. After some photos in the garden they called taxi’s to go to the church.

Their church is beautiful, Netflix had just finished filming there the week before. It was the perfect set for their ceremony.
We always love it when something goes insignificantly wrong, every vicar hopes it won’t be them dropping the rings, but to be honest he did us a favour. After that point everyone was so much more relaxed!
Some of our gorgeous friends were in the congregation, so we may have been busy making faces at them during the songs.
The bridal party and parents gathered round to watch them signed the paperwork and joined them to make a grand exit back down the aisle. Outside we grabbed a few group photos, while inside some seats were cleared so Will and Sarah could cut the wedding cake. Church friends served up glasses of fizz and people tucked into cake.
How’s this for a little story from the day: when she was a kid, Sarah won a cake-making competition. The prize was a cake knife. Oddly it was engraved with ‘Congratulations to you both’. Well, this was the day to make it all make sense. She saved the knife to use for their wedding cake cutting! We love these mad-beautiful things that happen at weddings.
After a pause to catch their breath everyone made their way outside, filling up the street to confetti them into the taxi.

We drove over to the venue, then walk down to New Islington Marina for a bit of fun. People sitting outside cafes shouted out their congratulations, which is one of our favourite British wedding things. At one point the wind blew the viel right off but thankfully it didn’t go in the canal! I popped it back on for Sarah and we carried on our little stroll.
At the venue, the team were keen to show Sarah and Will the room all set up. Then they made their way upstairs to greet guests who were mooching with drinks.
It was back downstairs for food. We loved the long tables and flowers. Will and Sarah had separate menus on the tables - her’s veggie and his with meat - it was a fun way for guests to see what was coming. The speeches were dished up after the mains. I love a good giggle at the insights we get during speeches. We especially loved Will’s brother pointing out all his goofiness since childhood.
There was a delicious pudding then we made our way outside as the room was prepared for the ceilidh.
There were a lot of ceilidh first timers, but also some real Scots who knew what they were doing. We love getting to join in, even if we have to do the dance backwards to be able to photograph the action.
There was a little break from dancing while people snacked on fries. It was a nice night for chatting outside and the square outside the Hallé is full of bars and restaurants so there was a really good atmosphere.
