dave and kate’s WEDDING
wedding morning preparations
I started the day with Kate at one of her bridesmaids houses. She got ready with a huge group of bridesmaids, family and hair and make up ladies. It was really fun, there was a proper buzz about the house.
Malc met Dave at the church. He’s such an enthusiastic guy, it’s been wonderful to spend time with him and Kate.
Wedding service at Oasis Church Harborne
There’s always a lovely welcome at Oasis. They did a great job of making the service joyful. We love getting to witness this kind of community especially when they’re celebrating a wedding of two of their own.
After the service there was a heap of cake and chatting. Then Kate & Dave headed outside where the road was lined with guests ready to throw confetti, this crowd was not going to be put off by a little rain!
The wedding reception at Dorridge Village Hall
Kate and Dave arrived before most of their guests so we took the chance to nip into the park for some photos of just the two of them. It turned out to be much bigger than we thought- so nice to stretch our legs and have some chilled time with these two before heading back to the rest of the guests for some group photos.
The Village Hall was the perfect space for their party- they really put their own stamp on with their own decorations and reams of home made bunting. Plus theres loads of room for all the guests, Kate and Dave seem to have friends from everywhere.
Everyone should have pie at their wedding. Pietanic smashed it out of the park (some sneaky guests went back for seconds and thirds, they’re that good).
Evening guests arrived and everyone gathered around for the speeches. It felt really welcoming and informal to have a crowd of people standing to listen in.
Then on with the party with plenty of dancing, a huge buffet and the photo booth. These guys are excellent at celebrating!
