SAM & JUSTINE’S WEDDING
This gorgeous winter wedding seems kinda like another lifetime right now, it’s been wonderful looking back at it remembering. We loved the warm welcome to the Mill Hotel in Staffordshire from Jose and his team. They really take hospitality very seriously, without being at all serious for one second. The food they served made this day spot on.
Now, on to our story of Sam and Justine’s day…
Wedding morning preparations
The girls had their hair and makeup team come to Justine’s parents house in the morning. And I just love that Justine’s bridesman was on hand as her personal hairdresser. He was the perfect guy to trust with her hair. Just as important were her little flower girls, who got more and more confident as the day went on: they were the absolute stars of the wedding.
The guys had bacon butties to help them get ready at Sam’s grandparents house. A bit of a different approach from the ladies, but one we can definitely get behind.
Wedding at the Mill Hotel
As the last few guests arrived at the Mill Justine and the girls could sit with the registrars in the cottage across the road. They made their entrance to the ceremony with Justine’s Dad walking her down the aisle. The ceremony room is gorgeous with the rustic charm you’d hope for in an old mill. The intimate space made for a really personal ceremony and it was wonderfully transformed for their meal and speeches.
The wedding reception
For their wedding party Sam and Justine booked a DJ to fill the dance floor and a huge buffet to fill everyone’s bellies. We set the photo booth up in the bar- those two things truly are partners in crime. We had some fun outside in the dark with everyone and a bunch of sparklers and then got back to the dancing.
