TOM & EMMA’S WEDDING
We got to know Emma and Tom through the Rock n Roll Brides Facebook group, which has the most fun people in it. We adored being their wedding photographers and are so glad we get to be their friends. We love Sheffield, especially Sheffield weddings, so finding out about Trafalgar Warehouse has been another massive perk. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves… here’s the story of their day.
Getting ready
Tom and his gang got ready at his Mum's house. I loved seeing Malc’s picture of her standing on a stool to fix his hair (while Best Woman Dana scoffs a piece of toast in the background!). They got in cars and headed to Trafalgar Warehouse.
At the Florentine there was bubbly chilling in the sink of the ensuite, and a bridal bouquet in the shower. It was fun to watch Team Bride assemble, including Emma’s Mum who was indispensable for her hair styling skills. Emma loves make up, so getting ready was a treat. Meanwhile her Bridesman hooked everyone up with drinks.
The wedding car was MIA and while we waited for a stand-in taxi the Florentine sorted the girls out with drinks to steady their nerves. (Thanks Florentine and AJ the taxi driver who was incredibly friendly and got us to the ceremony).
Their Trafalgar Warehouse Wedding Ceremony
The girls walked down the aisle lined with the tables set, ready for the wedding breakfast. Emma basically sprinted to Tom which was one of my favourite bits. The sparse warehouse vibe really works for these two who did the wedding their own way. And the registrar fitted right in- not too formal and so kind to them, which helped relax.
With all the legal bits sorted the mob lined up outside to pelt them with confetti, and sent them off for a spin in the wedding car. We loved the street outside Trafalgar Warehouse for relaxed wedding party photos, and the nearby streets for pictures of Tom and Emma.
For their reception Tom and Emma had a sweetheart table facing their guests. The speeches were a lot of fun with plenty of toasts and guests blowing bubbles. Then the Pizzanista van pulled up in the courtyard and everyone was delighted to be stuffing their faces. Seriously it was some of the most delicious pizza we’ve ever had. There was wedding cake for pudding made by one of the bridesmaids, and cut with some flair by Tom & Emma.
The wedding playlist went down a storm on the dance floor, while other guests sat chatting. One of my favourite days of 2019!
