James and Anna’s WEDDING
We loved this celebration for James & Anna after they had a lockdown wedding. They’re a real treat to work with because of their care, enthusiasm and huge sense of fun. Not to mention that a heap of their guests are some of our favourite people too.
wedding morning preparations At home
Anna got ready at home with family and friends popping in to help and get a first glimpse at her in her wedding dress.
James was over at Thorpe Garden getting excited with the guests as they arrived.
the wedding ceremony at Thorpe Garden
I love the photos of Anna behind the curtain with her bridal party as they prepare to walk down the aisle.
Since they didn’t need to complete any legal formalities James & Anna had free reign to plan their perfect ceremony with plenty of singing, meaningful words and so many friends taking part.
We took some group photos on the lawn and photos with just James and Anna around the grounds. Meanwhile, the guests tucked into delicious canapes and enjoyed the gardens in full bloom.
their wedding breakfast
Dinner was served in the yurt with everyone sitting at long banqueting tables. Thorpe Garden served up huge sharing platters and finished things off with huge trays of brownies (what’s not to love about that?). There were speeches throughout the meal and James kicked off the evening reception with his speech over in the pavilion once the evening guests had arrived. Anna surprised him by taking the mic as he finished and singing him a song.
Their first dance was spectacular, perfect for this pair who love to dance. It really kicked the party off with Collective Live Band taking over from there. It was a balmy evening and chatting in the sunshine gave way to sitting around firepits.
Then once we’d had our fill of cheese and danced some more we headed to the driveway to wave goodbye with sparklers as James & Anna drove off.
