ed & alice’s WEDDING
Ever been to a wedding where each guest has an official ranking number? Well owing to certain circumstances that’s how it was for Ed & Alice, and I can tell you Ed used it to absolute perfection in his speech. But that’s getting ahead of ourselves. Lets start at the beginning ey?
their outdoor wedding ceremony at Red House Barn
We started the day separately Nom with the girls at Alice’s parents house and Malc down the road with Ed getting tops & tails at a cute Airbnb with his family.
They had their ceremony under a big stretch tent in field at Rehouse Barn in Sproughton. Being outdoors meant they could invite lots of friends, and we could all sing our hearts out in the open air.
Afterwards, we celebrated with cake and games, then confetti’d them off in their own car.
the wedding reception at The Tithe Barn, Sproughton
We stopped on the way to the Tithe Barn to grab some photos of the two of them with the dramatic backdrop of moody clouds. Thankfully it didn’t start pouring as we frolicked in the crop field.
How’s this for a wedding reception plan: Burritos, speeches and a big ol’ quiz?
The burritos and churros were delicious (that’s my perfect kind of wedding menu).
Restrictions on numbers meant Ed & Alice knew exactly where each of their guests ranked on the list. And they used their number in the list beautifully to thank everyone in their speech.
Since there was no dance floor allowed the quiz was a perfect way to entertain everyone. In fact, it was more like a game show, hosted by their sisters with all kinds of audience participation… even some solo singing. And since England were playing Ukraine in the final of the Euros that evening they also had live updates on the score (4:0 incase you were wondering).
