getting ready at milton end barns
There was a great vibe around the venue. Lots of guests were staying in the lodges on the courtyard, so they were hanging out chatting with various dogs and babies in the mix. Richard and Elle were baby swapping their little guy throughout the as they got ready.
Their wedding ceremony
Elle and her Dad walked down the aisle with the bridesmaids accompanied by Alex on guitar, which felt like such a lovely start. Elle’s mum was their celebrant and lead them through a beautiful ceremony. It was so sweet to have the little bridesmaids sitting on the stage, right in the middle of the action.
Afterwards everyone headed outside for a big shot of the whole gang, with musical interruptions and jokes from Alex.
We took a little wander around the barns with Richard & Elle, then came back to the courtyard for photos with their little one. Milton End Barns is such a great setting for photos.
Feasting and Speeches
We love that these two were able to have their favourite donuts for pudding. That’s the perfect way to personalise your wedding isn’t it!
After the meal, they put the rugby on in the bar for guests to watch if they wanted to and there was time to chill out before the evening got started.
It was our turn to be a bit emotional as their ceilidh band got started, a momentous return to dancing at weddings and the feeling of a ‘proper’ party! Plus the band were excellent!
The night wound on with dancing and wonderful balmy weather for guests to enjoy sitting outside as the hog roast was served up.
